Back for the second time this year, join local birding experts on a morning hike to look for migrating and returning birds along the Mississippi River! Visitors can sometimes find 50 species on hikes through the Mississippi Flyway- over 170 species have been observed in this area alone.
All are welcome to register for this popular event (those new to the gorge as well as seasoned-birders!) but space is limited and registration is first-come, first-serve. Each registrant may register up to three (3) additional participants for the hike. We have a number of binoculars available to borrow, so please indicate if you will need to borrow a pair.
The online registration form will be released Monday, so stay tuned in to our website and the LCC Facebook page to ensure you don’t miss it!
Saturday, September 9th, 7:30-9:30pm
Location will be announced to participants once registration is closed.
This event is sponsored by the Longfellow Community Council River Gorge Committee.
