The First Great Minnesota Food Truck Rally at Harriet Brewing (3036 Minnehaha Ave) from 12pm-10pm. The Minnesota Food Truck Association (MFTA) is gathering its truck members for a series of Food Truck Rallies throughout the Twin Cities Metro. This is the first of the series, and will have 12 food trucks serving food specialities along with live entertainment and locally brewed craft beer. The event is free for all ages–must be 21 to get a wristband for alcohol consumption. Visit here for a list of food trucks and music performances.
Tour de Fat Minneapolis will be running from 10am to early evening with live music and organized bike rides. Organized by the New Belgium Brewing Company, this is an event that spans many cities over the summer. More information here.

Minnehaha of Yesteryear, 1-4pm at the Longfellow House in Minnehaha Park (4800 S Minnehaha Park Dr). This free trip through the history of Minnehaha Falls will include churning butter, making old-fashioned ice cream, and creating your own Sunday hat. For a schedule of demonstrations visit here.
Tuesday July 30
Come to the 9th Annual Share the Gorge Ice Cream Social! Enjoy free ice cream, free canoe rides, and free guided hikes along the beautiful Mississippi River Gorge in Longfellow. Organized by the LCC River Gorge Committee, this wonderful event will be from 6-8pm. Ice cream has been donated by Diary Queen and LCC has contracted Wilderness Inquiry to give canoe rides free of charge to event attendees. There is no rain date scheduled. Free Community Meal at Minnehaha Communion Lutheran Church (4101 37th Ave S) 6-7:30pm. This is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors while eating tasty food from locally sourced gardens. Rise Up Singing Singalong at Minnehaha Free Space (3747 Minnehaha Ave). Come sing with others in a welcoming space. Music will be provided. Free event from 6:30-9:30pm.
Midnight Mass Marriage Madness at Patrick’s Cabaret! This free event is beginning at 10:30pm and will continue to 1am on August 1st to celebrate the first legal same-sex weddings in Minnesota. Screening of Inocente at the Riverview Theater. Lindsay Walz, a 35W bridge survivor, has created a new organization called ‘courageous heARTS’ that will be launching with this screening. The film follows the story of a homeless and undocumented Latino youth and highlights the transformative power of art. The event begins at 5pm, tickets are $10. The Longfellow Corn Feed is Thursday August 8th, 5:30-8pm at Longfellow Park (3435 36th Ave S). This year will have all the staples of the Corn Feed–live music, a resource fair featuring local businesses and organizations, ice cream, games, activities, and (of course!) roasted corn. Please join us for a summer evening with plenty of activities. Once again an Unlimited Youth Activity Wristband will be offered for $5. Without the wrist band the activities will be $1 each. Fresh roasted sweet corn will be $1 an ear, and fair style food will be available for purchase.
Open Streets Minnehaha is on Sunday, August 11 from 10am-4pm Minnehaha Ave from Lake St E. to Godfrey Parkway will be closed to automobiles for a pedestrian and cyclists only event.
